Spring Weddings

Spring is probably the most beautiful time for a wedding. It’s the flower season and the weather is perfect, not too hot and not too cold.

Also spring is a time of rebirth and renewal – a perfect time for a new adventure that marriage brings.

Choose April or May because March is very unpredictable in terms of weather, it  may be warm and beautiful today and tomorrow you can expect to snow just like in December.

The floral motifs proposed for this time of year are a real inspiration when you start to organize your wedding, and while we’re in the flower season you can place arrangements everywhere, even around the dance floor. Options and combinations are generous, and just imagine tulips, freesias, lilies, daffodils, orchids and hyacinth scattered around.

Many colors are appropriate for a spring wedding theme, from pastels to neutrals to bright colors. Use colors ranging from salmon, orange, spring green, pink to beige and brown. You can easily mix brown with green, pink with white or light green, salmon with cream, and light green with orange.

Another combination that is quite popular is lavender and silver. These tones compliment each other and can bring a youthful, dreamy feel to your wedding. Invitations may be printed on lavender paper with a silver wedding cake graphic. Lavender is a color that is worn well with many skin-tones, so it is a nice choice for bridesmaid dresses. Whether you are having a casual or formal wedding, outside or indoors, this pattern always works.

Celebrate spring in your menu with fresh young vegetables such as baby carrots, baby asparagus (or regular asparagus), new potatoes, sugar snap peas, and haricots verts. Even the cake be a wonderful surprise if decorated with colorful flowers and butterflies.

Most models of spring wedding cakes can be found in glaze. However, before choosing a cake frosting you should start with the basics. The cake itself would need to have a light flavor to match the season like strawberry or lemon. You’ll find that a fresh fruit compote or a rich butter cream can be appropriate choices for an airy texture. Many of the fruit fillings are available during spring.

If you give your guests wedding favors, you can turn these small gifts into symbols of spring. They will be surprised if instead of the classic candy you will provide them seeds and bulbs of flowers, beautifully packaged in green or pink velvet bags. It would be a very nice “thank you” for having been with you. Also you can give them a small and original floral arrangements choosing decorations that contain branches of apple blossoms, hyacinth, and daffodils mounted on a small bark, lined with green moss.

And the best thing about a spring wedding is that you can get lower prices on everything needed.
